Come join us for the 5th annual Lake Country Clean Water Festival on June 26-27 at Lakefront Park in downtown Pewaukee. Our festival, which is run in conjunction with the Pewaukee Kiwanis 20th Annual Beach Party, was started in 2011 to raise awareness to the growing need to clean, preserve and protect the waterways that contribute so greatly to our quality of life here in Waukesha County. Through the kindness of our festival sponsors and donors, we have also been able to donate over $30,000 to clean water initiatives over the past three years.
The Lake Country Clean Water Festival features an education tent on the beach where various local conservation groups come together to teach us all how to take better care of our lakes and rivers. Too, there will be various water and beach related activities for all to enjoy, including Zumba and boot camp on the beach, log rolling, kayak and stand up paddleboard rides, pontoon rides, learn-to-ski lessons, and a kids fishing clinic. Most events are free of charge but a few have a nominal fee.
There will also be an adaptive ski demonstration with our very own Chad Murphy-Price, an active wheel chair user who will show that all can enjoy the water, regardless of physical ability. A Friday night wakeboard show and a Saturday night water ski show will provide free family-oriented entertainment.
